Virginia opt out tool for children to read controversial material
Posted on the Virginia government townhall website is a proposed regulation requiring all school districts to provide opt out provision for parents who don't want their children reading controversial material. This ability of parents to opt out is under severe attack by the teachers union and its members. If this area is meaningful to you, please go to http://townhall.virginia.gov/L/publiclogin.cfm and voice your comments and concerns. I have already done so.

The School Board's comment period is half over. Only 8 concerned parents have posted comments on website; 160 comments are from teachers opposed to to parental involvement. If you have any concern about what you children or grandchildren are reviewing in school you need to make those concerns know. Go to http://townhall.virginia.gov/L/Forums.cfm. Thank you, Dave Dyer.
