Group History

In March 2009, a handful of people started this group to advance and strengthen the core principals of limited government, fiscal restraint, personal responsibility, and demanding our politicians govern with virtue and accountability. Some were interested in establishing a tea party movement. Soon, others joined because they felt that the two major political parties had abandoned the principles of our Founding Fathers, created a powerful Washington DC elite class, and offered only lip service to the American people regarding Constitutional issues.

As Americans, we share a common belief that people have certain "unalienable rights" including life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. We affirm that the Federal government may exercise only those rights and powers that are specifically granted unto it by the Constitution and no others and that all Americans ought to be able to make their own decisions and take personal responsibility for them.

Our Goals
Go to Top of Page

  • Our primary goal is to identify and support legislators who will enact legislation in the Virginia General Assembly and U.S. Congress that is consistent with our core principals
  • Participate in peaceful public discourse through protests, rallies, petitions, open debate, and personal interaction with our political representatives. To successfully accomplish this we respect the rule of law and the processes for political and policy action established by the Founders under the U.S. Constitution.
  • Share our vision and encourage participation of like-minded Americans to use their voice and votes to secure the principles that this country was founded on.
