I agree a guess speaker  from the  NRA would be good, but also, a local grassroots group like Virginia Citizen's Defense League would be good too. They are at all the different Virginia Gun shows. With many of us fearful that the new ( anti-gun) governor will turn this state into New York, Conn., Maryland, and etc, gun sells were pushed to its highest for this state in 2013.  You should have seen the big stack of Conceal to Carry cards the woman pulled out at the KG courthouse.   If we lose our gun rights, we lose all the other protections under the Constitution!  As my husband pointed out to me, many of the counties have removed the words, "To Protect And Serve" off the police cars.  They only enforce the laws , not to protect us from criminals . To make a long story short, we need to support other grass root groups like VCDL.

Thanks for your time.

I'll try to go to the meeting on long as there is no more snow storms. This is the worst winter in the 12 years I lived in King George. My husband has lived in this state all his life, and he seen worst.

I believe what is happening is a war of cultures. Strong family values, strong work ethics, independence, and connection with a Divine ( in what ever form) against the culture of the government as your family( will make all your life choices) and your god.  If government can keep us in childlike thinking self-center and no impulse control then we can never be masters of our own life. Watch adds on TV ( I stop watching TV a while ago because I was insulted by it) and look at the behaviors of people around you...all encourage the behaviors of children!  I told my Daddy that I may not have control over the behavior of others, but I can make changes for the better by being a hands on parent to my son.  We talk about history, politics, and ethics which has given him a strong fountain.

Time to put away my soapbox...thank you for time.
