General Membership Meeting Minute August 2015

Minutes of the FredVaPat General Meeting held on Sunday, August 23, 2015

 2:10 Chairman – call to order at Salem Church Library meeting room
Invocation (Scott Cook), Pledge (Janet Bonilla); Reading of Core Principles (James Shaw) were conducted.

Chairman Hirsch announced that Michael Woods is stepping down as secretary and awarded a Certificate of Appreciation and Challenge Coin to Michael Wood.  He will be replaced by Anna Yeisley, voted unanimously by the Board to step and take the position.

Dave Ross, father of six and a member of Spotsylvania County’s board of supervisors for 3 1/2 years (and chairman for a year of that time) – is running for Courtland Board of Supervisors. 

David Ross denounced “politics as usual” and shared that to avoid being compromised from his dedication to faithfully and fairly represent his district - he refuses to accept campaign donations.

Dave Ross opposes county money being used to build a baseball stadium.  Dave encourages all to become members of the local Republican Committee. 

David Ross supports the idea of Spotsylvania County donating county land to build a veterans medical facility.  For more information on Dave’s campaign and platform, visit sites above.

Chuck Feldbush addressed the group announcing his non partisan; run for a Constitutional Sheriff of Stafford County.  Chuck Feldbush sets himself apart of other candidates by supporting increasing transparency by mandating law enforcement officers carry body cameras and wants more training for deputies. 

Chuck Feldbush supports establishing a civilian review board, where county residents can have a voice in reporting wrongdoing and injury by law enforcement and county administrators.  Chuck Feldbush’s life career has been in law enforcement.  Feldbush is a retired Prince William County police detective, and a U.S. Air Force veteran.

Dale Swanson shared a presentation depicting all county precincts and stressed the importance of participation at the polls
